As we approached 2023, the Lord gave Healing Haiti clear direction to not be on the defense, but instead to take ground. We knew we were uniquely positioned as a ministry…
…With gangs taking over 85% of Port-au-Prince
…With hunger rapidly rising in the communities we serve
…With gang violence instilling fear in the Haitian people
...With extreme trauma gripping the nation
Healing Haiti knew that we had to invest in the local church. With this investment we absolutely believed that God would direct our steps towards other opportunities to serve and care for people in these difficult times.
So far in 2023…
We built 2 additional feeding centers out of our churches in Cite Soleil and Titanyen to combat the growing food crisis.
To date we've experienced a 2,289% increase in attendance at Grace Church, and a 1,900% increase in attendance at Hope Church.
327 people have given their lives to Christ at our churches.
With no schools in Titanyen, Grace Academy took on an additional 315 kids who otherwise would have been on the street.
In Cite Soleil, we took on an additional 74 kids at Hope School who otherwise would have been on the street.
We built a Maternal Mentor Program, in partnership between Grace Clinic and Grace Church, to provide medical support and discipleship for teenage girls who had been raped by gangs and have no where else to turn.
As we began to invest in our churches, God began to give us more opportunities to serve. As Healing Haiti began to invest, we immediately saw that when we met physical needs in the communities we serve, God opened their eyes and began to heal their spiritual needs as only He can.
As we see God continue to open doors, we’re praying about opportunities to expand our staffing and resources to help support this miraculous growth.
In order to support our current programs and take on these additional opportunities, Healing Haiti needs to raise an additional $120,000 on this Give to the Max Day. We have an amazing donor who has offered to match up to $100,000 for any new donation to the ministry, and/or any donation that is above and beyond a donation amount given last year.
